Hello Zone 7!
October has always felt like a great month to own a Porsche. I think my Porsches run their best in fall. Not too hot, good relative air density & not needing to avoid any storms.
The summer heat begins to fade, the mornings are cooler, and some of our best driving weather is still ahead. It’s a perfect time to find a favorite road, join a tour, chase a few cones, spend a day at the track, or bring that freshly detailed Porsche out for a Concours. And while the calendar may tell us the year is beginning to wind down, Zone 7 certainly isn’t!
There are still plenty of opportunities to drive, compete, volunteer, socialize, and try something new before we close out 2026. Take another look at your Region calendar—and then look beyond it. One of my favorite challenges to our members continues to be: go visit another Region. You already know you have at least one thing in common with everyone when you arrive!
So put a few more miles on that Porsche. Say yes to an event you haven’t tried before. And, most importantly, have some FUN.
🏁 Zone 7 Autocross – There Are Still Cones to Chase!
The Zone 7 Autocross Series isn’t ready to put the timing equipment away just yet.
It has been great watching drivers from around the Zone come together this season—some competing seriously for points, others working on their driving skills, and plenty simply enjoying their Porsche in a safe and challenging environment. If you’ve been telling yourself, “One of these days I should try autocross,” maybe one of these days should be this year.

🚗 Special Autocross – Sacramento Valley Region
Here’s one to put on your calendar now.
Sacramento Valley Region will host an autocross on November 21 at Cal Expo in Sacramento, with a special spotlight on the PCA Boxster and Cayman Registries. There will be something special happening there for the Boxsters and Caymans
Whether you own one of the featured cars or something completely different, come out and participate. Autocross is always more fun with a big field of cars and members cheering one another on.

✨ Zone 7 Concours – The Season Continues
Our Zone 7 Concours Series also has more to come.
If you haven’t attended a Concours this year, there’s still time. And remember—you don’t need a perfect garage queen to participate. Concours is as much about learning, preservation, preparation, and camaraderie as it is about competition.
Come show your car, volunteer, learn a few detailing tricks, or simply walk the field and enjoy some remarkable Porsches.

🏎️ PCA Club Racing – Still More Track Time
The checkered flag hasn’t fallen on our PCA motorsports calendar either.
PCA Club Racing continues to provide some fantastic racing and another opportunity to see what these cars—and their drivers—can do in a competition environment.
You don’t have to be racing to enjoy a Club Race weekend. Come watch, volunteer, explore the paddock, and experience another side of PCA. Usually there is a DE hosted on the same weekend.

🌊 Treffen @ Sea 2027
If combining a PCA event with a vacation sounds appealing, start looking ahead to Treffen @ Sea 2027.
PCA is already preparing for another opportunity to take our Porsche friendships to sea—even if we have to leave the actual Porsches behind! I’ve included the 2027 Treffen @ Sea poster below with more information. Take a look, talk to some PCA friends, and perhaps start planning your next adventure together.
🎉 Looking Ahead – Two Porsche Parades
Parade is always one of the best ways to experience just how big—and how diverse—our Porsche Club of America family really is.
First up is Porsche Parade 2027 in Boise, Idaho. For those of us in Zone 7, Boise makes for an especially interesting destination and another opportunity to gather with PCA members from across the country.
And if you really like to plan ahead, Porsche Parade 2028 will take us to Traverse City, Michigan.
Parade brings together so many parts of PCA in one place—Concours, autocross, rallies, tours, technical sessions, social activities, banquets, and, of course, a remarkable number of Porsches.
I’ll continue sharing details as registration and additional information become available.

As we move toward the end of the year, don’t assume the calendar gets quiet. Events are added, dates change, registration windows open, and there is almost always something interesting happening somewhere among our ten Regions.
