Touring the Cascades
On behalf of the members of the High Desert Region and the Treffen North America staff, we would like to invite you to attend Treffen Bend: Touring the Cascades. Experience four days of driving, fine dining, and exploring as PCA heads to Bend, Oregon over September 14 – 18, 2022.
Bend is a small city on the Deschutes River located on the eastern edge of the Cascade Mountain Range. It is well known in the Pacific Northwest as a gateway for many outdoor recreation activities, along with vast landscapes and panoramic views of majestic mountains, lakes, valleys, lava fields (Bend is only one of three cities in the US with an extinct volcano), etc. Bend is also well known for its craft beers and coffee, be sure to pay a visit to the city’s Old Mill district during your stay.
Our host for the week is the uniquely northwest rustic-styled Sunriver Resort, located in a small community south of Bend with the same namesake. The resort was recently refurbished and is known for its AAA Four-Diamond service, amenities, and accommodations. The Deschutes River flows right next to the resort and is a main focal point for numerous onsite activities.
The Sunriver Resort is an ideal launching point for our planned driving tours. With roads spanning all directions, destinations such as Mt Bachelor, the Three Sisters volcanic peaks, Crater Lake, Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway, etc. are all within reach. The High Desert Region eagerly awaits to show you the beauty of the Cascades.
