Yosemite Region (YOS) is a group of Porsche enthusiasts that love all that is “Porsche”. Our region, chartered in 1960 only 5 years after PCA started, is based in the north San Joaquin Valley covering Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne counties. Our goal is to provide our members opportunities to enjoy their cars, whether iconic 911’s, mid-engine sports cars, SUV’s or 4-door sedans and the people who drive them!
We organize and conduct social and auto events throughout the year so members can get together, drive their cars, meet new friends and renew old friendships.
“Drives” are organized tours that go to interesting places, over interesting roads to enjoy the varied landscapes that our region covers. Drives can be a short, couple hours or overnight to more distant destinations. Generally, food and dining is involved!
Other events include destination dinners at interesting restaurants in the region or social “get-together’s” or just “cars-and-coffee” gatherings where we enjoy both old and new friends, not just the cars.
Our members also join with other regions for “driving/speed” events, such as Autocrosses and “Track days” at Northern California venues, such as Laguna Seca and Thunderhill Raceway. Some members also enjoy preparing their cars for display – concours, participating in the Zone Concours Series.
But, as the PCA saying goes, “It’s not the cars, it’s the people…”
