Golden Gate Region

The Golden Gate Region (GGR) (, in the Porsche Club of America’s (PCA) Zone 7, is blessed by its location in one of the most beautiful and diverse areas of the country with access to the exceptional beaches, forests, mountains, restaurants, wineries and racing venues of Northern California.

The region races its cars, conducts rallies, autocrosses and fun-runs; hosts social activities; sponsors driver education programs and concourses, as well as Porsche restoration and technical sessions.

Serving San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties in the Bay Area, it is one of the nation’s oldest, largest and most active of the PCA’s 144 regions. The region includes some 3,200+ Porsche enthusiasts, some of whom are registered outside the Bay Area in more than 15 countries. GGR stays true to PCA’s theme, “It’s not just the cars, it’s the people.”

The Region ensures that its members are actively engaged in a variety of events and enjoy their membership to the fullest. GGR has created an equitable balance between social programs, in which the whole family can be involved, and our active and ever-popular Fun Run, Destination, Autocross Series and Track programs. GGR also has 15+ unique sponsors who supply added assistance for a number of our driving programs.

GGR members can choose to attend monthly “Boxster Brunches” at Alice’s Restaurant atop Skyline Boulevard, compete in Driver’s Education and Club Racing at various raceways in Northern California such as the celebrated raceway at Laguna Seca, compete in the world-class “Carlsen AX Series,” participate in destination tours, and drive in the ever-popular “Fun Runs” throughout Northern California.

There are many ways to stay connected with the Golden Gate Region of PCA. Our online monthly newsletter, The Nugget (, provides ongoing information on the club, our members, activities and our sponsors. For event announcements members can sign up for the GGR-Announce mailing list ( ) or check the online calendar at (

Ultimately, the Golden Gate Region is a membership-driven organization designed to ensure that its members become actively engaged in a variety of events and enjoy their membership to the fullest – both socially and behind the wheel. Like the PCA, the Region’s experience celebrates the cars and the people, creating a true fellowship for those who participate.
